Beste leden,
wedstrijdschema is vanaf 25 augustus bekend. KTC teams M18-2 en X14-2 gaan als
eerste knallen; op zaterdag 11 september. Het overige wedstrijdstrijdprogramma
start op zaterdag 18 september. Alle wedstrijden vind je (vanaf 25-8) in
Basketball.nl
Heb
je vragen over de app, of over je lidmaatschap-gegevens? Vraag het aan onze
ledenadministratie.
ZAALDIENSTEN
Zonder zaaldienst geen wedstrijden! Elk KTC lid (v.a.
CORONA MAATREGELEN
is getest.
Let’s
play ball & Stay Safe!
KTC
NEWSLETTER August 2021
Dear members,
We hope everyone had a good summer vacation
and are ready for the new KTC basketball season starting next week. We also
hope that it will be a ‘normal’ season, without interruptions due to the corona
virus. We can all do our best for that by following the well-known measures.
You can read more about it in this email. You can also read about the training
times, the start of the competition season, the team divisions (we have a brand
new Men’s team!), the handy app Basketball.nl and news about the club. On
behalf of the board I wish all members a great season ’21-22!
Rinze Koornstra, chairman
Start workouts
We traditionally start the season with a fresh Kick-Off Outdoor Training on Wednesday 25 August! Stephan Kreykamp gives a ‘bootcamp’ in the dunes for all members (youth and seniors) who feel like a nice and cozy kick-start with professional exercises. Gather at 7:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the Tetterodehal, departure at 7:30 p.m. and we’ll be back at 8:45 p.m.
The regular training sessions will resume
on Monday August 30, according to the schedule posted here on the site
(Training page). The training runs until the end of May. There is no training
during the autumn, Christmas, spring and May holidays. During the summer break
there is summer training and more information about this will follow later in
the season.
As in previous years, the youth members per
age category start training together. On Friday September 3rd, the definitive
team layout will be announced on this site (Teams page) and the following week
everyone will train with their own team.
Start competition season
This year, KTC has 16 teams in the competition. 16 youth teams and 4 senior men’s teams, because we have a completely new young men’s team! The men know each other from pick-up games in the past year. The group grew, became closer, more enthusiastic and now forms the Heren-3 at KTC. They bring along a trainer from Triple ThreaT and as a coach the men have managed to secure none other than Bas Vreugdenhil. “It is a nice group of very sporty young dogs and I think it is a nice challenge to guide these boys in the competition. I expect a lot of fireworks and learning moments!”, says former KTC’er and MSE3 coach Bas. As far as the Ladies are concerned, trainers/coaches Bea and Ruud are busy forming a team that will hopefully be able to join the competition this year.
The new competition schedule will be known
from August 25. KTC teams M18-2 and X14-2 are going to pop first; on Saturday
September 11. The rest of the competition program will start on Saturday 18
September. All matches can be found (from 25-8) in Basketball.nl
Update (or create) your Basketball.nl account now
Basketball.nl is the handy and free app of the Dutch Basketball Association. Are you already using this? Then make sure that you enable the notification ‘Allow push messages’. We can then send you a notification if, for example, the match is cancelled. Check your profile, is it still up-to-date? You can adjust your personal data yourself. You can only adjust your profile photo (a good photo is mandatory, because a handy check for the referees) until September 14. After that, this has to be done through the Bond. Don’t have the app yet? Quickly download and log in with the email address with which you (or your child) are known to KTC. For download go to the app store or to http://debasketballapp.nl/
Do you have questions about the app, or
about your membership details? Ask our member administration. From this season,
Stephane Chatêl is your point of contact and can be reached via mailto: mailto:ledenadministratie@ktcbasketball.nl
HALL SERVICES
No competitions without hall service! Every KTC member (from U14) participates in the group with room services. In addition, we have a team of volunteers who whistle and table home games. That team can’t be big enough, so if you want to whistle or dine (extra) you are more than welcome. (You can also help as a parent of a youth member!) Match secretary Robin Vreugdenhil arranges the hall services (can be reached via wedstrijdsecretaris@ktcbasketball.nl).
New and useful: this season Robin makes a
schedule with the names of the individual referees in the schedule instead of
the team that has to provide referees. If you can’t whistle, you have to take
care of a replacement yourself!
CORONA MEASURES
Last but not least; the measures to prevent corona contamination. At the moment, competitions are allowed again for everyone and the public are welcome at both the competitions and training sessions, with one and a half meters away and with fixed seats. No one has to keep their distance from each other while playing basketball. Outside the field you keep one and a half meters away.
For the time being, the virus is still
among us and it is therefore still important that the hygiene regulations of
the RIVM are observed. In addition, we ask you: stay home if you are sick or
have a cold or if someone from your household has tested positive for the
coronavirus.
We hope that everyone will cooperate in
following the measures and that we can enjoy our beautiful sport for a
beautiful and full season. Let’s play ball & Stay Safe!
